Your Hosts
Your Innkeepers, Matt and Pam Landrum enjoy sharing
their home with guests who prefer a more personal touch and the camaraderie
of the small Bed & Breakfast experience . We have three children who are all in
college now. You might glimpse them occasionally during the summer months.
Matt is a boat builder & marine electrician for sport fishing yachts.
He also restores old boats when he's not building new ones. We have
been restoring our home for the last several years and you can see
Matt & Pam's handiwork
throughout the house.
Your hosts are avid water sports enthusiasts. Matt & Pam are both boat
Captains as well as Scuba Dive Instructors. In addition to running
the B & B, Pam teaches scuba diving, kayaking and offers kayak tours.
Pam is also the author of a kayak guide; A Guide to Sea Kayaking in
NC. If you are interested in kayaking, you can take a
Kayak Tour or lesson or purchase the book by clicking the picture:

Pam and Matt know the Outer Banks inside and out. Pam used to be a
Naturalist with the Cape Hatteras National Seashore and Matt grew up on
Hatteras Island where his family operated several restaurants. He has run
his own charter fishing boat for years and now builds them.
We have 2 yellow labs, 1 older dog and 1 black cat. We do not
allow them into the B & B. The cat comes and goes and is very
people friendly. Ignore him if you don't like cats. The dogs
live in their own section of the yard and have their own house. If
you are a dog lover, you are welcome to visit and play with them.
Just ask us to introduce you to them first.
About our pets.
We love pets and have several, however you won't see them in the
guest areas of the B & B. We don't allow guests to bring their pets since
too many people have allergies. The beach in the summer is not the
best place for your pet. It's hot, most beaches don't allow pets
in the summer, there are fleas, you can't leave them in the car when you
go shopping, sightseeing or eating. There are several kennels
locally that do board pets. We would be glad to recommend one.
